Maria Ventura Joseph died on March 29 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on Aug. 5, 1946, in St. Croix, U.S.V.I.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Pio and Agripina Ventura; siblings: Julia, Carmelo and Angela Ventura.
She is survived by her children: Mario Castro, Laura Castro, Carmen Aaron, Lyndon Joseph, Deborah Alfred, Chelsea Rivera and Troi Richards; siblings: Marcella Saldana, Jorge Ventura and Hector Ventura; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; as well as special friends, cousins and other relatives too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Christiansted Cemetery.
