Doris Elaine Lang Encarnacion, also known as “Mama,” of Estate St. Peter’s died on Tuesday, March 3. She was 85 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hulda Lang Nielsen; sister, Gladys P. Rohlsen; son, Eryle A. Rohlsen Jr. (Butch); grandson, Malik Rohlsen; and nieces: Khephra Nielsen and Theresa Lang.
She is survived by her husband, Luis A. Encarnacion (Negro); children: Diedre Rohlsen Carver (Deedee), Maria A. Encarnacion (Toni), Justa E. Encarnacion (Tita), Maria T. Encarnacion (Terri) and Gladys E. Encarnacion (Liz); and grandchildren: Ronald Rohlsen (Ronnie), George Rohlsen (Boo), Jerry Carver, Shamara Rohlsen, Shereen Rohlsen Newton, Shivaun Rohlsen Martin, JaNee Rohlsen, Clint Sobratti, Chenelle, Antonio, Adian and Chena Cuencas, Robert (Bobby) and Stephanie Thompson.
She is also survived by more grandchildren: Michon Joseph Christian, Hasheem, Mario and Halima Roebuck, Hanife James and Reynold (Renny) Thomas; great-grandchildren: Ronnie Jr, Daniel, Kenny, Ali, Linton, Tiara, Tishaila, Topaz, Geshante, Amaya, Yannick, Jilik, Jinik, Malik, Aiden, Chaliyah, Alana, Taina, Armani, Ayjahni, Shenaliyah, Lakiah, Aliyah, Amira, Kymani, Je’laisah, Je’sai, Je Neah and Kayla; great-great-grandchildren: Kenn, Jaylin, Roneisha and J’royah; sisters: Blanch Abrams and Corinne Allen Ph.D; and brothers: Terrance Lang, Calvin Lang, Norman Nielsen and Aloy (Wenty) Nielsen.
Other survivors include nieces: Thelma Lang, Tyra Lang, Tavia Lang, Chaine Lang and Heidi Nielsen Allen; nephews: Ricky Lang, Ricardo Guadalupe Lang (Ricky), Romaldo Guadalupe Lang (Maldo), Ricky Nielsen, Shannon Nielsen, Peter Nielsen, Roderick (Jay) Allen and Kimani Nielsen; brothers-in-law: Jose Encarnacion, Juan Encarnacion and Marcelino Encarnacion; and sisters-in-law: Maria Aurora Encarnacion, Ana (Nena) Encarnacion, Josefina (Fini) Encarnacion, Delores Lang, Inez Lang, Vivian Nielsen and Betty Nielsen.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to St. John’s Anglican Church.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, at St. John’s Anglican Church. A private interment will follow immediately.
