Delroy A. Thomas Sr. Dies at 66

Delroy A. Thomas Sr. Delroy A. Thomas Sr. was born on Sept. 22, 1948 and died on Feb. 27, 2015.
He is predeceased by his mother, Albertha V. Thomas; and father, Elias Simmonds.
He is survived by his spouse, Ikima Thomas; daughters: Dalisha Thomas, Talisha Thomas and Janyah Isaac; sons: Noah Thomas, Delroy Thomas Jr. and Jahail Riviere; sisters: Edna Creighton, Marya Phillipus, Anna Barnes, Celia Williams and Patricia Gomes; brother: Ejnar and Rexbelle Adams, Roy and Thomas Barnes, adopted brother, Carl LaFong; granddaughter, Jahshara Velez; grandsons: Jahsheim and Jahrique Richards; aunt, Ellen Schuster; uncle, Randolph Wells; and sister-in-law, Mary Adams.
He is also survived by nieces: Lenora, Rasheda, Tanisha, Alisha Williams, Anniesha Barnes, Coretta Canton, Kareema and Karis Bartley, Melissa Phillpius, Velmarie Crieghton, Veronica Turnhill, Kaishma Drummond, Ladawn, Malia and Carmelia Barnes, Jareema and Jamalia Barnes, Lisa and Gloria Adams; and nephews: Wali, Antonio Jr., Akeem, Rashawn and Jahreem Williams, Shawn Canton, Stephen, Cordice, Roy Jr. and Kamal Barnes, Omalie Barnes, Jamal Drummond, Clint Murrary, Samuel, Charles and Dave Creighton, Jeffrey Murray, Brain Oliver and Warren Phillipus Jr.
Other survivors include brothers-in-law: Wingrove Creighton, Warren Phillipus Sr. and Stedroy “Pudding” Williams; special friends: Lester Henry, Juanita Hendricks, Uralie Burke, James Parris (also known as Joegeese), Joseph Graham (also known as Drummerboy), Panche Larsen and Glen “Butcher” Brown; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, at Peter’s Rest Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
