Milta Camacho Dies at 71

Milta CamachoMilta Camacho, also known as "Wella," of Williams Delight died on Friday, Feb. 6, at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. She was 71 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcela Gautier; father, Gilberto "Tato" Camacho; stepfather, Bernabe Gautier; son, Renaldo "Papo" Rivera; brothers: Efrain Camacho, Rueben Camacho and Miguel Gautier; and sister, Georgia Ann Jacobs.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Paulino, Elizabeth Erarte, Diana and Erica Rivera; stepdaughter, Celia John Lewis; sons: Carlos and Nelson Rivera; grandchildren: Jessica Garcia, Ramon "Eddie" Castillo, Rufina, Michelle and Rufino Paulino, Elsie, Domingo "Macho" Jr., Anthony "Tony," Elizabeth "Lizbeth" and Erickson "Tatito-Eric" Erarte, Artemah and Nazare Woods, Bianca and John Joseph Jr., Shantel John Lewis, Carlos III, Michael "Mickey," Bunny, Giselle and Marvin Rivera, Omar C. and Omyra C. Rivera, Taishma and Nelson Rivera Jr., Luis Renaldo, Ricardo, Yanira and Jasmin Rivera; and 54-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters: Miguelina Gautier-Parrilla, Margarita Gautier-Brannigan and Felicidad "Faye" Camacho-Ortiz; brothers: Miguel and Fernando Camacho, Julio, Angel L., George, Benito and Eddie Gautier; nieces: Maria Gautier-Hennemann, Ivy L. Gautier, Ericka Camacho, Yakara, Alba, Magnolia, Vanessa, Aisa Camille, Janitzi and Rachel Gautier; and nephews: Efrain Camacho, Gilberto Camacho, Julio Camacho, Jeffrey Centeno, Duane Brannigan, Fernando Camacho Jr., Miguel Gautier, George Gautier Jr., Michael Gautier, Daniel Gautier, Gerome Gautier, Omar Gautier and Aramis Gautier.
Other survivors include great nephews and nieces: Michael, Frankie, Chavorn, Khalid, Kishawn, Shandra and Naeema Camacho, Mark Roebuck, Miguel and Eric Hennemann, Jahzeel James and Jaydon Lopez; aunts: Joaquina de Leon and Guillermina Gautier-Figueroa; brothers-in-law: Stanley Jacobs, Jose Parrilla, Sherman "Butch" Brannigan and Heriberto Ortiz; sisters-in-law: Justina Gautier, AnaMaria Camacho, Jenny Gautier and Mireya Gautier; grandsons-in-law: Samuel Spencer, Akeem Thompson, E. Liburd and Tomas Corcino; special friends and close relatives: Melda Mendez, Esdel and Alicia “Chucky” Hansen, James Wakefield, Aida Christopher, Joanna Samuel, Steven, the Camacho family, the Rivera family and the Gautier family; godchildren: Lenay Brooks, Richie Gonzales and Xania Mendez; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that those in attendance wear festive colors.
The viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
