VITFF Bulletin Reports on Long Jumpers Meet at Cornell

National Track and Field team member Wanetta Kirby and 2013 CAC University Games long jump champion Leon Hunt took advantage of an invitation to compete in The Cornell Kane Invitational Track and Field Meet in Ithaca, New York, over the weekend and had winning performances.
Kirby, the V.I. national record holder in the seven-event heptathlon, had three first places in three separate events in the competition including: the 60m hurdles in 8.55; the long jump 5.89m and first in her heat of the 200m. The long jump victory came after her three fouls on jumps 1, 3 and 4.
