Man Murdered in Whim

A man identified by police as 29 year-old Jose Miguel Rosa was shot dead Friday evening in Estate Whim, according to V.I. Police Department Public Information Officer Melody Rames.

At 5:07 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16, dispatchers relayed to police a report of shots fired near 37F Estate Whim, according to Rames. Witnesses reported hearing several shots. Officers arrived to find a hispanic man, later identified as Rosa, on the ground with gunshot wounds. Rosa was a resident of Marley Homes. His murder marks the first recorded V.I. homicide of 2015.
