La Grande Princesse Shooting Leaves Man Dead

A man was shot to death early Saturday in Estate La Grande Princesse, the V.I. Police Department reported. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Sadiki David.

It was the 40th homicide in the territory since the beginning of 2014, the 19th on St. Croix.

Officers were dispatched at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday to the scene near Chris Hideaway nightclub, where they found the victim.

Officers said there had been an altercation between David and another person or persons.

Detectives from the Major Crimes division are asking the public for any information they may have regarding the shooting. Anyone with information can call detectives at 1-340-712-6030 or 1-340-712-6077, or can call the 911 emergency center or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
