Man Stabbed in His Back

A man was stabbed in the back just after midnight Friday, and police are searching for a suspect in the non-fatal attack.

According to the V.I. Police Department, the victim, whose name was not released, was stabbed at least once in his right lower back and transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.

The 46-year-old victim told police he was walking up Fire Burn Hill when a man approached him, stabbed him in the back and ran away on foot.

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives are investigating this case.
