Juanita De Jesus Aponte Dies at 90

Juanita De Jesus Aponte Juanita De Jesus Aponte, also known as "Jenny," of Estate Sally’s Fancy died on Saturday, Oct. 4. She was 90 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Aponte; brother, Juan De Jesus; and sister, Julia Brodhurst.
She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Aponte; grandchildren: Damariz Lewis and Lennox G. Liddie Jr.; sisters: Isidra Colon (Tin), Victoria Anderson, Catalina Henriquez, Carmen Ledesma and Evarista Encarnacion (Eva); brothers: Carmelo and Manuel De Jesus; great-grandson, Gabriel Alexis Lewis; great-granddaughter, Selene Jenny Lewis; aunts: Estel Zielinski and Antonia Gibbons; son-in-law, Lennox G. Liddie.
She is also survived by grandson-in-law, Shawn Lewis; brothers-in-law: Anibal Colon and Julio Encarnacion; sister-in-law, Alicia De Jesus; adopted sister, Martita Rivera; adopted brother,Alex Lequillou; special friends: Mary Lequillou, Julio Rivera, Anna Maria and Juan Santiago, Vicky Ledesma, the Gonzalez and Lewis families; caregiver, Luisa Borgen; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
