Edna Viola Jackson Dies at 79

Edna Viola Jackson Edna Viola Jackson of Estate Glynn died on Jan. 24 at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. She was 79 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emeline Bartley Titre; father, Esmond Berkley; stepfather, Patrick Titre; grandparents: Barbra Ann Teresa Robinson and Plantaginet Bartley; uncle, Tom Edward Bartley; and brother-in-law, Robert Slack.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Christopher Jackson; daughter, Carolette Teresa Jackson; stepsons: Thomas Jackson and Glendale Jackson; grandchildren; Chikanele David Orukwowu Jr., Chinedu David Orukwowu and Chikere David Orukuwowu; great-grandson, Aiden Josiah Orukwowu; step-grandchildren: Wanda Jackson, Vanda Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Jennah-li Jackson and Glendale Jackson Jr.; sister, Eglantine Slack; brothers: Maurice Bartley and Michael Bartley; nieces: Patricia Fokumlah, Laura Slack, Jennifer Slack and Celine Bartley; nephews: Denzil, Antonio, Eustauce, Rupert, Ernest, Michael, Densfield, Valentine, Kevin, Eustace, Terrance and Mervin; uncle, Charle Artie Bartley; sister-in-law, Cecilia Bartley; special friends and family: Sister Williams and family, Sister Lake and family, Sister Madir and family, Cicilia Simmons and family, Jean Small and family, "Auntie" Marie, Annie Rose Morton, Avril Joshua and family, Carmen Phillips, Ms. McFarlene and Martha Nelson, and the pastor and members of the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church; cousins and other relatives: Kara, Calvin, Edward, Paul and Thomas; as well as a host of cousins and other relatives too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
