Couple Robbed of Cell Phones and Tablet

A couple on St. Thomas were robbed of their belongings while visiting friends in Bergs Home, according to the V.I. Police Department.

According to the preliminary police report, the incident occurred Saturday. The man and woman told officers two armed, masked men approached them and ordered them to the ground. The suspects searched the victims’ pockets and their vehicle.

The male victim told police that while he and his girlfriend were being robbed one of the suspects hit him in the head with his gun, causing a cut and bruises.

The suspects took a Samsung Galaxy tablet, an iPod, a Trio stealth (another brand of tablet computer,) and two iPhones. The male victim was treated at the Schneider Regional Medical Center for a cut to his head and later released.

The suspects were described as wearing black shirts. One suspect had on long black pants and the second suspect was wearing short jean pants.
