Female Minor Stabbed in Leg, Phone Stolen

A 17-year-old female was stabbed in her leg by a suspect who robbed her of her cell phone, the V.I. Police Department reported Friday.

According to police, the robbery and assault occurred about 9:15 p.m. Thursday on Estate Peter Road. The girl told officers she and her brother had just left the grocery store when a white SUV stopped beside them and the driver and passenger got out of the vehicle. The driver was holding a hammer in his hand and the passenger had a knife.

The victim told police the men demanded her and her brother’s cell phones and stabbed her in her left leg. The victim’s surrendered their phones and the suspects drove off.

The female minor was treated and released from the Schneider Regional Medical Center.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating this case.
