Two masked men robbed a man sitting outside a bar in Contant on Monday, the V.I. Police Department reported.
A 38-year-old man told detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau he was sitting outside The Little Bar when two men accosted him and took his jewelry.
The victim told police the incident occurred about 8:45 p.m. He said he saw two men walk past him and then come back wearing masks. The victim ran and the suspects ran after him.
He said he and the suspects struggled and fell to the ground. The suspects were able to remove his Cuban link gold chain and Pillsbury Dough Boy pendant from around his neck. The jewelry is valued at $8,000.
The suspects ran in a northerly direction.
