Motorcyclist Injured in Traffic Accident

A motorcycle rider was injured Thursday morning when he collided with a black Acura sedan, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Traffic officers are investigating the accident, which occurred just before 9 a.m. The motorcycle driver was injured and taken by ambulance to the Schneider Regional Medical Center.

According to the police report, the accident took place on Alton Adams Drive in the vicinity of the Aubrey Ottley Post Office. The automobile was making a right turn on to Alton Adams Drive from Perimeter Road, police said, at the same time a red Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling eastward on Alton Adams Drive.

Police said as the Acura was completing its turn, the motorcycle collided with the car.

The driver of the Acura was not injured. The case remains under investigation.
