Burglars Caught With Haul: House Slippers, Snorkeling Gear

Police on St. Croix arrested three minors Thursday along with 19-year-old Hilton Warner, charging them with a burglary that took place that day in Estate Whim.

According to the V.I. Police Department, Warner and the minors, ages 16, 13 and 11, were at a family event at a private residence in Estate Whim, when they left that event and went to an unoccupied home in the area where they swam in the swimming pool.

Observant neighbors, paying attention to that property because the owners were off island, told police they saw the minors climb through a window of the home.

Police caught the suspects coming out of the home. The suspects had in their possession house slippers and snorkel gear belonging to the owners of the home.
