Innovative Names O'Donnell New President, CEO

Caribbean Asset Holdings, the parent company of the Innovative Companies, announced Friday that Shawn O’Donnell will replace Seth R. Davis as president and chief executive officer.

O’Donnell will lead the senior management team in the U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands and St. Maarten, the company said.

O’Donnell has almost 30 years of experience in the telecom industry, beginning his career as a member of the engineering team at MCI/WorldCom in the 1980s. Most recently, he was president and CEO of the International Carrier Services Division of PTGi, a global provider of advanced telecommunications services. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Arbinet, a publicly traded company offering voice and data services to telecom providers around the globe.

“I am very excited about joining the Innovative team and contributing to its continued success,” O’Donnell said. “I look forward to working with the diligent employees who have done a phenomenal job of adapting to all the upgrades and changes that have occurred over the last three years. I am also looking forward to meeting everyone very soon as we work closely to complete the EVO upgrade and other Innovative initiatives.”

Davis leaves the company after three years of change and rebuilding – including significant infrastructure, technology and service upgrades. He became president after CAH acquired the company in bankruptcy proceedings and oversaw the program which has now almost completely rebuilt the company’s infrastructure, replacing the old TV coaxial cable and copper wiring with a hybrid fiber optic that will add significant improvements in speed and service.

Davis said, “I have truly enjoyed my time as a member of the Innovative family and getting to know and work with so many fabulous people. I will always cherish my time at this dynamic organization and be satisfied that I led the team and Innovative to its modern state of technology and service. I believe the work that we have all done over the last three years has positioned Innovative to enter a new phase in its business operations.”

Davis is leaving to pursue other opportunities but will remain with Innovative several weeks to facilitate the transition.
