St. Thomas Gets Additional Cruise Ship Thursday

Bad weather from what’s left of Tropical Storm Dorian caused the diversion of the cruise ship Carnival Splendor to come to St. Thomas on Thursday. According to a published schedule, the Splendor was scheduled to be on Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas on Thursday.

The ship will arrive from San Juan at 7 a.m., departing at 3:30 p.m. for Grand Turk. It will tie up at the West Indian Co. dock, the agency said in a press release issued Tuesday.

According to the ship fact sheet, the ship can carry a maximum of 4,914 passengers, with a normal capacity of 3,006, and 1,160 crew members.
