Evelyn Lynch Chase-Williams Dies at 79

Evelyn Lynch Chase-Williams Evelyn Lynch Chase-Williams of Estate Grove Place died on June 22 at Juan F. Luis Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clarissa Lynch-Trant; father, Samuel Christian Chase; husband, Glen Williams Sr.; son, Glen “Bulsa-Glenny” Williams Jr.; stepchildren: Ambrose and Yvette Williams; brothers and sisters: Estrid, Astrid, Uan, Olive Brathwaite, Vernon and Melrose Chase; step-grandson, Jahmali Henry; in-laws: James “John Corn,” Sanseric, Lionel “Paddin,” Warren, Micha, Lloyd Richards, Almeada Williams-Moolenaar and Omah Williams-Miller; niece and nephew: Gloria and Michael Brathwaite,
She is survived by her children: Patricia Williams, Merissa Williams, Letitia Williams-Hurley, Ophelia “Nemmy” Williams-Jackson, Galen Williams and Natasha Williams-Modeste; stepchild, Bridgette Williams; brothers and sisters: Gwendolyn Burke, Thelma Battiste, Ecilma, Peter Trant, Valdemar Jackson and Merle McWatt; grandchildren: Harold Francis, Trisha Williams, Taahira Walker, Shariyfa Walker, Keba Eyan Petrus, Takisha Hurley-Ventura, Tamara Hurley, Tamisha Hurley, Natalia Felix, Rafael “KJ” Jackson, Glen Williams III, Thalema Williams, Collin Williams, Tayesha Williams, Shakuille Jahdani Williams, Mystica Williams, Sarah Williams, Nyah Williams, Valence Dante Modeste and Breanna Modeste; step- grandchildren: Keisha Lloyd, Akeem and Melika Alfred; great grandchildren: Jaslyn Francis, K’Mani Ventura, Quiana Ventura, Taaliyah Prevost, T’Naiah Rawlins, KeAndre Parris, Ja’dyn Treasure and Malachi Treasure; and step great-grandchildren: Francisco Navarro Jr., Keishy’ra Navarro and Amyra Lloyd;
She is also survived by in-laws: Artha Lee “Micky” Trant, Rita Jackson, Calvin Burke, Lunsford, Hildalgo Williams, Una Williams-Horton, Rafael Jackson Jr., Valence Modeste, Judy Williams, Richard Petrus, Glenn Krieger and Leopold Gittens Jr.; special godchildren: Trisha Byron, Desiree Byron, Patricia “Mable” Lynch, Charles Haynes, Earl Charles Jr., Janice Benjamin, Delta Thomas and Vivique Pemberton; special cousins: James Maynard, Euclid and Marilyn Lynch; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to include

A viewing will take place a 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at St. Luke’s AME Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
