At least two armed, masked men entered a Sunny Isle store Monday and stole jewelry before escaping, the V.I. Police Department reported.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating the armed robbery of the Perfection Gifts store.
According to preliminary reports, after the suspects grabbed jewelry they fled the store toward the back parking lot of the shopping center. They left the area in a blue vehicle and traveled over the Benny Benjamin Drive, also known as Rattan Road. Police later found a blue Hyundai Accent they believe was used by the suspects.
The vehicle was confiscated and processed by forensic technicians. The suspects are still being sought.
