Two Charged with Forging Checks

Two St. Thomas men were arrested Thursday and charged with forgery in a 2012 case in which fraudulent checks were charged against a local restaurant, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Detectives from the VIPD said their investigation revealed the suspects forged several checks belonging to Beni Iguana’s Sushi Bar.

Police said Jerome Farley was employed at the restaurant and that Randy Gumbs conspired with him in the crime. Both men are 36 years old.

Police said on July 17, 2012, the two men forged checks belonging to the business. Farley and Gumbs are charged with forgery, grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretenses and conspiracy.
