Lone Gunman Robs Estate Concordia Supermarket

Police on St. Croix are investigating a first-degree robbery that occurred at Super Save Supermarket in Estate Concordia a few minutes before 8 p.m. Thursday.

According to the report from the V.I. Police Department, a lone gunman came into the store and demanded money.

The store owner and another store employee told police they were inside the store when a Hispanic man wearing a long-sleeved black hoodie and a dark colored bandana covering his nose and mouth pointed a weapon at them and asked them to empty the cash register and give him all the “go phone cards.” The store owners complied. The suspect exited the store and walked in an easterly direction with an undetermined amount of cash and about $30 in phone cards.

Police issued an all-points bulletin on the suspect and conducted an investigation at the scene. This case will be followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
