Virgin Islands Cycling Federation Gives Results of Conch Shell Classic

Conch Shell Classic Youth Bike Race participantsAlthough the turnout was low at the Conch Shell Classic Youth Bike Race, the spirits of the eight young cyclists were high. While Kaeden Gleason was the only competitor in the 5-6 category, he completed the .8-mile/2 laps course in a time of 5:07. Out of the four who competed in the 7-9 category, Mikey Dizon-Bumann, took the top honors
completing three laps/1.2 miles in an even five minutes. Intending to keep things interesting, Mikey and Brice Richards decided to take on the challenge of the 10-12 category, capturing 1st and 2nd places, respectively. Young Jessica Kubat also challenged the higher category doing eight laps/3.2 miles in a time of 17:54. Bevern Sage Jr. was the only other young cyclist to compete in that category, completing the eight laps in a time of 14:56 to take the top spot.
