Man Stabbed in Frederiksted

A man walked into a bar Monday evening suffering from repeated knife wounds received during an attack, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to preliminary reports, the victim walked into a bar on Market Street in Frederiksted holding his side and apparently seeking help. Witnesses called 911 about 8:30 p.m.

Emergency medical technicians who arrived on the scene said the victim was stabbed several times in his left side.

He was taken to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment. Due to his injuries, the victim could not provide any additional information Monday.

Officers canvassed the area without finding a suspect. Police are urging anyone who has information regarding the stabbing to call detectives at 1-340-712-6037 or 1-340-712-6077, or calling 911 the anonymous tip service Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
