Caurel D. Barnes died on Feb. 12 at Seaview Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was 85 years old.
She is survived by her children: Gloria Lake, Robertine "Dorothy" DeSylvia, Randolph DeSylvia, Darryl DeSylvia, Lyndon Barnes and Cecil Barnes; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Henson Barnes; sisters: Lorna Barnes and Carmen Barnes; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Barnes; mother, Gladys Barnes; and brothers: Austin, Arnold and Leopold Barnes.
A viewing will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 8 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
