Nigel O. Hodge Foundation Fund Hosts Birthday Celebration

The Nigel O. Hodge Foundation Fund will celebrate a commemoration of what would have been Nigel O. Hodges’ 30th birthday. Every year, the parents of Nigel, Chester and Josephine Hodge, host a special event for the children of the territory. This year it will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 16, at the cafeteria in the Lockhart Elementary School. Over 200 young people from clubs and organizations such as Junior Firefighters, Girls and Boys Club, Weed and Seed, Girls on the Go, and others will be treated to spiritual, motivational and intellectual performances by the participants. A lunch buffet will be prepared and served by the Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center.
When a sixth grader, Nigel Hodge was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Since the fund’s establishment in 1996, the Nigel Hodge Foundation Fund has provided information, support and financial assistance to children afflicted with cancer and other critical illnesses in the V.I. and the Caribbean.
