St. Croix Delinquent Property Auctions to Resume on March 6

The Division of Real Property Tax will resume the sale of delinquent properties on St. Croix on Wednesday, March 6. The auction will continue on March 7, if necessary. The property sales will be held at the Virgin Islands Cardiac Center at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center, according to a press release issued Friday by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
The property auction will begin at 9 a.m., with registration taking place between 8-9 a.m. Potential bidders are required to register. Bidders will not be allowed to register once the auction has begun.
There are presently 67 properties up for auction. Property owners in delinquent payment status are strongly advised to contact the Office of the Tax Collector at 773-1105 in Christiansted or 772-0120 for the Frederiksted office to make arrangements to avoid the sale of their properties. Property owners whose properties are in probate are reminded to file their cases with the Recorder of Deeds Office located at Government House on St. Croix.
A list of the properties scheduled for auction and the terms of sale can be viewed on the lieutenant governor’s Web site at www.ltg.gov.vi.
