Xavier Rubio Francis Sr., also known as "Frenchie" or "Rubio," of Strawberry Hill died on Jan. 4 at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 72 years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Shawan Bowen; son: Xavier R. Francis Jr.; grandchildren: Raymond (Chris) Christopher Bowen Jr. and Nia Iman Bowen; son-in-law, Raymond Christopher Bowen Sr.; sister, Cheryl Williams; brothers: Miguel Ritzberg and Rapheal Ritzberg; nieces: Antoinette Gibbs, Leslie Williams and Celina; nephew, Martell Ritzberg; aunt, Rita Andrews; special friends: Anthony Smith, Sylvia Sajous, Carmen, Dorene Sergent and Vincil England (BoBo); cousins and other relatives: Norman Gibbs, Juliette Thomas, Shirley Thomas, Freddy Gibbs, Louise Jones and Eleanor Johnson; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
