Special Education Annual Parents’ Satisfaction Phone Survey Planned for January

The State Office of Special Education (SOSE) in conjunction with the University of the Virgin Islands Eastern Caribbean Center will begin conducting the Annual Parent Satisfaction Survey on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, according to a press release issued Thursday by the V.I. Department of Education. Parents of children and youths with disabilities receiving special education and related services should expect a phone call to answer a survey about the services provided by the districts. All parents should take the call and answer the survey questions posed to help SOSE better understand and meet their needs, and more importantly, their children’s needs,” said SOSE Assistant Director Jill Singer, attorney.
“We collect these data every year and your input is very important and will help us guide the districts to achieve better outcomes for students with disabilities,” she said.
For more information on the survey, contact Ms. Singer at 776-5802, ext 2255 or Kathleen Merchant at 718-7682.
