Santa Claus Returns to Christiansted NHS Bandstand

Due to an increasing number of Crucian children 1-12 years of age reported as “good” and “nice,” Santa Claus will present them with juice and goodies at the Christiansted bandstand from 4-8 p.m. on Dec. 14. The Virgin Islands Fire Department is providing transport and logistical support during Mr. Claus’ visit to Christiansted this year. Face Painting, mocko jumbies and fun begins at 4 p.m. and the Rising Stars Orchestra will play from 5-7 p.m. Santa Claus is expected in Christiansted at 6 p.m.
The Christiansted National Historic Site (NHS) is celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2012. The National Park Service (NPS) hopes everyone has an opportunity to come and visit their park to see some of the oldest buildings in the federal registry that the NPS maintains for the public trust, including the Slave Market/West India and Guinea Company Warehouse and Fort Christiansvaern.
