Frederick Stephens Dies

Frederick Stephens, better known as "Lil Chop-Chop,” “Fred,” “Freddie” and “Masuckie,” died at his home on Sunday, Nov. 18.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Janice Clause-Stephens; daughters: Angela, Joynesha and Sherriane Stephens; son, Masuckie Stephens; stepson, Romeo Guishard Jr.; sisters: Hattie Stephens, Sonia Malone, Phyllis Pickering, Laverne Stephens Reed-Clarke and Janet Potter; brothers: Elmo Potter, Basil Blyden, Alfred Potter and James Stephens Jr.; grandchildren: Joyneshia’s baby, Seejah, Abyjah and Chimisha Chery Stephens; stepgrandson: Carter Guishard; mother-in-law: Ina Nibbs-Clause (of Slaney Hill Tortola); sisters-in-law: Lorecia Krigger-Stephens, Maria Clause- Simmonds, Beryl Hodge-Callwood and Adrienne Hodge-Duchene; and brothers-in-law: Walter Malone, Aubrey Pickering Sr., John Hodge, Joseph Hodge, Charles Hodge, Rudy Clause, Graciano Clause and Joseph L. Simmonds;
He is also survived by special nieces and nephews: Norecia Simmonds, Geannine Reid, Selina Fuller, Denise Adams, Bernard Stephens and Aubrey Pickering Jr.; special step nephew, Alvion “Al” Dawson; other nieces and nephews: Lynell Pickering, Lori Pickering, Lorita Pickering, Tracy Malone Martin, Lynn Malone Barnes, Tonia Malone Stanley, Susan Potter, Walsra Stephens, Anthony Stephens, Shawun Stephens Lex A. Malone, Gregory, Gabriel and Gerard Reed, and Alfred Potter II; attentive, loving and dedicated caretakers: Jackie Francis and Jackie Krigger; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, at Leonard B. Francis Armory in Nazareth. Mourners are required to walk with a valid I.D. to enter into the Armory. There will be a second viewing at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at Wesley Methodist Church in Estate Tutu. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
