St. Croix Environmental Association Offers Two Events

St. Croix Environmental Association offers two weekend events. There will be a hike to Maroon Ridge with Ras Lamumba on Saturday, Dec. 1. Join Ras Lamumba, Ay-Ay Eco Hikes & Tours, and SEA staffer Lynnea Roberts for a moderate hike to the historical and beautiful cliffs of Maroon Ridge. Lamumba has a knowledge of medicinal and cultural uses for St. Croix vegetation. $10 for adults who are not yet SEA members. Meet at Rainbow Beach at 9 a.m. Wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of drinking water. Call SEA to register at 773-1989.
A Bird Walk at Great Pond will take place from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. Binoculars, water to drink, mud shoes and insect repellent are recommended. This event is free for kids and SEA members; the cost is $10 for non-members. Registration is required, call 773-1989.
