Raymond L. Edwards Dies at 62

Raymond L. Edwards Raymond L. Edwards, also known as “Ray” and “Charmo,” of 47 Estate Welcome Flamboyant Lane, Christiansted, died on Nov. 15. He was 62 years old.
He is survived by his companion, Sherill T. Petersen; brother, Earl Wilbekin Jr.; aunts: Claire Francis Hendricks and Mary Krigger; uncle, Albert “Godfather” Hendricks; sisters-in-law: Elisa M Harrison, and Agneta and Mercedes Petersen; brothers-in-law: Elroy D Harrison, Randolph A. Petersen, Maurice Gaskin; godchildren: April M. Bedneau and Vanesia George; as well as cousins and many other relatives: Regina and Warren Williams, Athalie Hunte, Angela Hodge Sheen, Ruby C. George, Haniff George, Rochelle, Claire, Ingerborg, Ingrid , Mitchell, Tony, Lionel Hendricks, Julia, Janet, John, Shabuka, Leisha, Makeba Jamal, Ayinde, Lance, Lorne, Jahwill, Isejah.
He is also survived by other families and special friends: the Wilbekins, Hendricks, Evans, Hennemans, Williams, Petersens, McAlpins, McNamaras, Daniels, Flemmings, Simons, Jacobs, Central High School Class of 1969, St. Joseph Class of 1968, First Bank VI, Vitelco, Green Cay Marina, Schooner Bay, Stop & Save, Flamboyant Welcome Families, Audrey Brown, Charles “Chuck “ Watts, Arnold and Bernadette David, Austin and Darby Schneider, Frank Russell, Livingstone “Leevy“ Bartlette, Martin and Nancy Oliver, Crucian Marine Services, David and Nicole Johnson, Frederiksted Twin City Lions Club and the St. Croix Lions Club, Virgin Islands Oncology and Hematology PC, Emergency Room and ICU Crew-Juan Luis Hospital and Dr. Albert A Titus, M.D.; as well as many other relatives and close friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at The Lord God Saboath Lutheran Church, Christiansted. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
