African Slave Revolution Commemoration Committee Holds Tour

The annual educational tour and commemorative pilgrimage to key sites of the 1733 St. John enslaved Africans Revolution will take place on Friday, Nov. 23. Cultural and historical presentations will be given by tour guides. Interested participants are asked to meet at Red Hook dock between 8 and 8:30 a.m. the ferry will leave for St. John at 9 a.m. sharp. Participants are asked to bring water; wear sneakers or hiking shoes; and clothes appropriate for the outdoors. Transportation cost will be $27 for everyone 12 years and older; and $17 for those 11 and under. Those catching the Safari on St. John will pay $15. This event is organized by the St. John African Slave Revolution Commemoration Committee.
