Madaline Nelson Burt Walcott Dies at 92

Madaline Nelson Burt Walcott Madaline Nelson Burt Walcott, also known as "Georgie," of Estate Whim passed died on Nov. 12 at her residence. She was 92 years old.
She is survived by her husband: Alexander "Palante" Walcott; daughters: Susannah Simmonds and Angela Burt; sons: Winston Burt and Stanley Burt; grandchildren: Winona Vesey, Kimberly and Michelle Burt, Curtis and Mahalia Revan, Jevon Pant, Denise L. Lewellyn, Stanley Jr., Michal, Jason and Angie Burt, Sherna and Shamalla Simmonds, Sheamonique Daniel Hughes, Chantelle Green-Quinones, Hensen Green II and Le’Ann Fredericks; great-grandchildren: Jayden Vesey, Jliyah and Jenijah Pant, David and Jacob Burt, Dahmir Fnow, Deshay, Destany, Joshua and Johnathon Burt, Samari Patterson, Leeyah and Lanae Llewellyn, Curtis Jr., Shemira Boynes, Shalaijah Henry, Imani Hughes, Rejah and Tazara Canai, Alejandro Quinones Jr.; daughter-in-law, Gweneth Burt; sister, Rosie Nelson Burt; nieces: Agnis Bailey James, Rita Bailey Morgan, Rita Brown, Nathalie Vanterpool, Ercilyn Jeffers, Pauline Jeffers and Francis Ann Carty; nephews: Oscar Bailey, Ralph Bailey, Dale Carty, Milton Vanterpool and Leborne Carty; special friends: Henerita Maggie" Christopher, Rodney McIntosh, Corra Parris, Gladys Simpson, Lillian Revan, Eldredge Christian, David and Palmira Benjamin, Jane Collymore and Sarah Woodley; cousins and other relatives: Mary Smith Connor, Dorothy Ashby and Anetta Francis; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Frederiksted. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
