Tickets remain available for the Rotary Club of St. John’s annual Flavors of St. John fundraising event to be held Nov. 24 at the Westin Resort and Villas. It begins at 6 p.m. with snacks and wine. From 7 to 8:30 p.m. dishes donated by 23 different restaurants and food suppliers will be available for sampling.
“The food is incredible,” said Flavors committee member Bruce Munro. He said all the island’s major chefs are coming with a competitive spirit.
“The competition this year is going to be fierce,” Munro said.
Tickets are $90 in advance and $100 at the door. Tickets for people with food handler cards are $75.
Dress is “island fancy,” Munro said. Music is by the band Ish.
Flavors also features a silent auction.
Munro said the money raised at Flavors goes to fund Rotary’s scholarships and other educational requests, like a writing coach to help students.
“Requests come all the time,” Munro said.
Tickets are available at Connections, St. John Hardware, Chelsea Drug and from any Rotary member.
