Clear Blue Sky Holds Annual Walk-a-Thon

Clear Blue Sky’s third annual Walk-a-Thon is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Saturday from Mandela Circle to the Arturo A. Wattlington Sr. Post Office in Frenchtown and back. The previous Oct. 14th walk was cancelled because of Tropical Storm Rafael.
Registrants are to assemble in the lot behind Virgin Marley’s at Mandela Circle at 7 a.m. The fee is $10 for adults, $5 for groups of 10 or more, and $3 for children.
Clear Blue Sky Inc. is a not-for-profit that supports people suffering from mental illness, giving them a place to go and something to do at it new space at the former Villa Fairview. Since January 2005, it has effectively improved the lives of more than 80 adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses through two programs: The Clubhouse, a community center which provides a safe, nurturing, non-institutional setting for psychiatric rehabilitation, and Karen’s House, its supported residential facility.
