The St. Croix Dolphins Swim Team participated in its first short course swim meet of the season at the Beeston Hill swimming pool on St. Croix. Forty-five Dolphins participated in the meet, which included swimmers ranging in age from 5 to 17 swimming events in a 25-meter pool.
The team hoped to accomplish two objectives in this meet: 1) obtain personal best swim times and 2) qualify for the Campeonatos de Piscina Corta to be held in Puerto Rico on Dec. 1-2. All in all, the Dolphins swimmers produced 80 percent personal best times out of all races. The biggest time reductions occurred in the ‘Age 8 and Under’ category, with swimmers in this age group consistently dropping time in their races, some dropping up to 15 seconds.
Each swimmer was allowed to swim four events at this meet. The following Dolphins swimmers achieved 45 qualifying times for the Puerto Rico meet in these events.

The Dolphins Swim Team thanks all of the parents who volunteered their time to help with the swim meet. These meets cannot happen without the support of volunteers. The Dolphins would also like to thank their friends at Beeston Hill for graciously allowing the team to use their facility for the swim meet.
