V.I. Fire Service Announces Unit Closures

The Arson Investigation and Prevention Units of the Service in both the St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix districts will be closed to the general public from Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26, for inspections, business licenses and burning permits, according to a press release issued Monday by the Virgin Islands Fire Service.
“These units are undergoing a week-long training in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Life Safety this week,” V.I. Fire Services Assistant Director Daryl A. George said. “These trainings will help facilitate even greater readiness of Fire Service personnel in the event of an emergency.”
Normal business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29.
