DRI Holds Forum on Main Street and Waterfront Enhancements

Downtown Revitalization Inc. (DRI) announces its next informational “conversation” on matters of importance to businesses and residents in the downtown area, as well as the community as a whole. It will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Grand Hotel Galleria, second floor.
The forum, the third in a series offered by DRI, will feature presentations on pending plans for enhancements to Main Street from the Market Square to Post Office Square and the Waterfront from Long Bay to Frenchtown. There will be comments from Public Works Department, V.I. Waste Management Authority, Innovative Communications, VI Water and Power Authority and VI Next Generation Broadband.
This is an opportunity for the community to gain valuable information about several projects that are already in the planning stage, their timetables and funding. A key element of the forum will be how business interests along Main Street will be affected by the Main Street project.
DRI is engaging the community in this series of forums with the aim of revitalization of the downtown area for the betterment of all island residents and visitors and to improve the economy. This forum on Main Street and Waterfront Enhancements is being facilitated by multiple supporting member organizations, particularly the St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce.
