Frederiksted Health Care Opens New Dental Site in Christiansted

Frederiksted Health Care continues to “Rock Your Smile." Frederiksted Health Care Inc. (FHC) has announced the opening of its Dental Site in Christiansted at 1E Estate Orange Grove, better known as the “Easterly Building,” former office of Dr. Richard Fraebel.
To celebrate the opening, it will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Easterly Building.
The opening of this site is something that is long overdue to the residents of St. Croix as there has been a dental waiting list with over 650 patients. Since the commencement of dental services at FHC seven months ago we have seen 1,315 dental patients to date.
The expansion of this new site is in collaboration with Lutheran Health Care, (LHC) of Brooklyn New York. LHC initially received a grant to purchase dental equipment to provide oral health care to persons living with HIV/AIDS, which ended in 2011.
As a result of the partnership FHC will have a dental residency program where resident complete accredited advanced training in a community-based setting. The residents from LHC will spend at least one year working alongside FHC staff and providing care to members of the community who seek the services of the health center.
The public is invited to attend the open house on Friday, Sept. 28.
