Second Suspect, a Minor, Charged in Jarvis Murder

A second suspect, this one 17 years old, was arrested Thursday in connection with the murder of Tiny Jah Jarvis, who was killed Aug. 17 on St. John, the V.I. Police Department announced.

The suspect was arrested Sept. 20 and charged as a minor with possession of an unlicensed firearm, misprision of a felony and accessory after the fact in connection with Jarvis’ murder. The minor was placed in protective custody pending further actions before the Superior Court’s Family Division.

Police said on Aug. 17, at about 10:30 p.m., Tiny Jah Jarvis was shot and killed in the area of Estate Bellevue after an argument with Ralph Titre. On Aug. 18, Titre was arrested and charged with Jarvis’ murder.

During the ongoing investigation detectives from the major crimes unit were led to the 17 year old minor, who was believed to be in possession of the alleged murder weapon. A weapon fitting the description of the one alleged to have been used in the murder was recovered and turned over to the VIPD Forensics Unit for ballistic comparison the police said.
