Dear Source:
This week, some of my roadside signs for my campaign have been stolen. I can’t believe that anyone would stoop so low as to steal signs. What is the point in stealing political signs? Do these perpetrators really think this is going to stop anyone’s campaign?
We have to do our best to make a better Virgin Islands for all of us. Whether I get into office or not, I will always attempt to do my part to make a positive difference in ways I can. That is what we all should be striving for in our community now and our future generations.
How do we teach our Virgin Islands people to stand up and be a part of a solution when something as important as an election can’t even be conducted in a reasonable manner? How do we encourage them to go into these areas when they see and learn these types of behaviors take place with politics? People need to understand what they teach by their actions affects far more than they think.
We need to have the decency to let people run a campaign without sabotage. Stealing a sign is not what counts, voting is what counts. Make your difference and stand up to have your say by your vote!
