WICO Hosts Free Concert ‘Voices in Paradise’

The West Indian Company Ltd. will host “Voices in Paradise,” the second in its series of free concerts from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, on the West Indian Company dock. The event is co-sponsored by Concessions International.
“The response to our first event surpassed our expectations, especially since we had challenges with the weather,” said Joe Boschulte, president and CEO of the West Indian Company. “We are fortunate to secure an impressive line-up of vocal talent, some of the best live performers in this district, and we are pleased to offer visitors and locals the opportunity to experience their exceptional talent in a relaxed setting at no cost.”
Boschulte said the Carnival Valor and Carnival Liberty will be in port at the WICO dock on Tuesday, and he is encouraging Havensight Mall stores and restaurants to remain open later than usual to accommodate people who want to dine and shop. Refreshments also will be available. One suggestion, bring your own chair if you need one.
Featured artists will include Lorna Freeman, Eric Provost and Jeanette Rhymer.
“Voices in Paradise” is free and open to the public. It will be held at Havensight Mall in the gazebo area near the Visitors’ Center.
