DRI Presents Forum on Homelessness

Service providers for the homeless are invtied to showcase programs at a Forum on Homelessness presented by the Homele and Public Safety Committee of Downtown Revitalization Inc. (DRI). It will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the University of the Virgin Islands Administration Building Conference Center.
The deadline for presenter registration is Sept. 15.
The public is invited to attend the forum and express ideas, join resources, share recognition and otherwise redouble their commitment to St. Thomas’ homeless population. Addressing homelessness is a critical element of revitalizing downtown. DRI’s goal is to assist homeless service providers as they assist the most vulnerable, long-term homeless individuals and
families to attain permanent, supportive housing.
Volunteers are always welcome. Call or attend the forum to learn how to make a difference. For additional information and presenter registration forms, call Shelley Williams, DRI Homeless and Public Safety Committee chair, executive director of Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (COAST).
