Ethel Florie Lanclos, also known as “Florie” (Fu Flo), died on Aug. 23 at her residence. She was 84 years old.
She is survived by her sons; Elmando “Shag” Lanclos, Jr., Francis “Franky” Lanclos, Ronald “Ronnie” Lanclos, David “Buffy” Lanclos and Anthony Welkes; daughters; Maria Henry, Laura Lanclos James, Terecial “Teri” Thomas, Shirley Vanterpool, Sesley-Ann Wilkes, Waverly Potter, Vandrina Rogers and Janet Eleza; two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church following the viewing.
Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
