Hubert Aster Legair of Clifton Hill died on Aug. 15 at his residence. He was 87 years old.
He is preceded in death by his grandsons: Narson Sullivan and Dave Lockhart; brothers: Cherie, Ferdinand and Harold Legair; and four sisters: Isabell McDowall, Beryl Roberts, Erie Monix and Evelyn Pope.
He is survived by his spouse, Althea Legair; daughters: Joan Legair, Clare Legair, Nurseen Legair-Davis and Pearlette Legair-Mitchell; sons: Astor “Brother” Legair, Bertil “Zess” Legair, Randolph “Randy” Legair and Bradley Legair; adopted son, Bernard Pope; grandchildren: Conroy Legair, Alvin Lockhart, Amity Legair, Lashawn Legair, Shanice Legair, Dexter Legair, Chris Johnson, Richard Johnson, Charlene Johnson, Natasha Sullivan, Shelia Legair, Daryl Legair, Rockwell Legair, Cozette Rogers, Cosville Rogers, Randy Legair, Alesha Legair, Fabian Legair, Aisha Legair and Naeemah Legair; great-grandchildren: Brittany Lockhart, Romello Lockhart, Azia Lockhart, Jalen Rogers, Jaya Johnson and Genesis Legair; daughter-in-law: Osafer Legair; sons-in-law: Charles Davis and Dr. David Mitchell; brothers: George Legair, Emmanuel Legair, Julian Legair, Emelius Legair and Ralph Legair; close friend, David Browne; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
