Apartment Robbed While Two Female Occupants Sleep

Police on St. Croix are investigating a report of a second degree burglary that occurred at an apartment on Church Street, Christiansted, just after midnight Thursday.

Two women were sleeping in the apartment when an unknown person or persons entered, according to the report from the V.I. Police Department. The victims said the burglar or burglars removed a white Sony Vaio laptop valued at about $3,000 and about $100 in cash from the apartment.

The victims were not harmed during the burglary and said they did not know who entered the apartment while they were sleeping. No one was injured.

This case is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Bureau Detectives. Anyone with information can call the Bureau at at 712-6077 or 712-6037, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
