Virgin Islands Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (VITOBA) offers free equine training beginning Friday, Aug. 14. The four-week training course will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. at the Ludwig Harrigan Court Community Center in Frederiksted, St. Croix. The training will cover the introduction of the Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing Industry.
The first phase of the training, “Introduction to Grooming,” is free to anyone 14 years of age and older. Upon successful completion of the course, trainees would receive a nationally recognized certificate.
