NPS Announces Temporary Closing of Clock Tower Area

The National Park Service (NPS) will be replacing the weather vane on the Steeple Building Clock Tower located at the corner of Hospital Street and Company Street. Access to this area will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.
If work is completed early, normal traffic patterns will resume as soon as possible.
A wooden barricade will direct westbound traffic into Christiansted along Queen Street at the East end of town. Additionally, eastbound traffic will follow its normal traffic pattern along Hospital Street. Company Street will be closed to pedestrian traffic between Church Street and Hospital Street.
This operation is being conducted in concert with VIPD and NPS appreciate the public’s patience on Saturday while we complete this important work.
