Crime Stoppers: New Crimes, New Rewards Approved

Law enforcement needs your help to solve the following crimes. If you know something, say something. Police cannot completely control crime without your help. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what they need to solve these cases.

St. Croix: Cases involving illegal guns are on the rise. In recent days the Police Department has had encounters with individuals in possession of illegal firearms. If you know of anyone who illegally possesses, sells or is involved in the illegal trafficking of firearms, let us know. The minimum reward for the recovery of an illegal firearm is $500.

St. John: Between May 20 and 24, a residence in Glucksberg was burglarized. The burglar(s) broke into a home and stole cash and jewelry worth approximately $6,000. For details on the items stolen please go to our website at www.CrimeStoppersUSVI.org. The minimum reward for the arrest of a burglar is $714 plus 10 percent of the retail value of items recovered, up to a maximum reward of $2,500.

St. Thomas: On June 1 at 1:30 a.m., a woman outside Starz Night Club was approached by an unknown male who held her against the wall while punching her several times in her face and body. The victim sustained lacerations and a facial fracture. Help police identify and arrest the perpetrator and earn a minimum of $900 in cash.

If your tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property, illegal drugs or weapons, you will receive a cash reward to be paid according to your instructions. Crime Stoppers recently approved nine new rewards. If you submitted a tip, please check to see if you qualify for a reward as unclaimed rewards expire after six months.
